Want to enhance your hobby or business? Until youve touched someones life through herbs, aromatherapy, crafting or other life-enhancing alternatives, youll never appreciate how gratifying your service to others can be. Once you purchase and use our "EASY" HOW-TO-KITS, you too will practically be a pro. Now you can enhance your business by conducting your own herbal or crafting classes teaching others too.
Gift baskets are never out of fashion. Fill your baskets with just a sampling of several different creations. A little fragrant candle, a pretty potpourri, a scented lotion or aromatherapy massage oil, a bar of homemade herbal soap, a healing lip balm etc. Tease them with only a sample and they'll clamor back, paying you generously for more.
Include a tiny vial of oil for rescenting any potpourris or other scented items you're selling. If your bottle is too tiny to label, place it in a tiny zip lock bag, label the bag and attach it to you product by a slender ribbon or gold thread. You might also include directions in the zip-bag.
Sell your fragrance and essential oils in smaller vials like the 1/8 oz. You will discover that because your customers paid a smaller price for each essence oil they will tend to purchase many more especially if you educate them as to how to use them. They not only have a compendium of oils to choose from, but if they should end up not using the entire bottle, there's less waste of money and materials which the customer will surely appreciate. They may also purchase more oils if you teach them to create their own "signature scent". To do this, have them use a blotter. The cardboard backing on a tablet works great. Have them cut several squares approximately 1-1/2" X 1-1/2". Lets say they have chosen 3 different scents. Taking the first square drop 1 drop of each oil, writing down their formula on the square. On the next square maybe theyll choose 1 drop of 1 oil, 2 of another, 3 of another. They can continue using different combinations. After theyve done several, have them leave them alone for 30 minutes or so to give their noses a rest. Then, come back, smell their concoctions and when they find one that irrestible-----well thats their "signature scent". Using the formula (# of drops and which oils they used) they can then fill their own bottles.
For as little as 15 cents each, our disposable plastic oil droppers make for easy measuring. Include one of these with each of your customer's purchases. We also have "barbie funnels". Tiny funnels with stems not much bigger than a toothpick. Or rebottle your oils in our 1/8 oz and 1/4 oz amber bottles with droppers. Or try our elegant cobalt blue vials. You can add a little more onto the price of your product and your customer will appreciate the convenience.
Check out our new "Yorkies" These are cute little 1/2 oz, natural white, squeezable bottles with a "pointy" spout and little red over-cap. Great for dispensing small amounts. Maybe lotion samples?
Our 1/2 oz vials with corks are really in demand at Christmas time. We fill 2 bottles-----one with frankincense tears and the other with myrrh granules. Laying on a bed of cotton in a little white or gold jewelry box or on a bed of excelsior in a tiny basket, they make a wonderful and unique gift. We add a little card with a scripture, and a condensed version of their history and uses over the centuries. Children as well as adults are fascinated by them. Even our smaller vials with corks make great amulets to hang around the neck filled with your favorite essential oil or maybe other herbal enhancements. You can purchase the jewelry from a craft store.
Whether or not you've made candles, making scented fire-starters is easy. After your wax is melted mix in your favorite fragrance or essential oil and pour into waxed paper candy or nut cups. Since they burn for about 10 minutes you don't necessarily need kindling. Adding about 1/3 stearic acid will help them burn longer. To use: Place under log and light edge of paper cup. We use Balsam Fir oil (the most aromatic tree in the world). These scented fire-starters are practical and romantic too. We package a dozen or so in our net bags. They not only make nice gifts, they sell very well too.
We mentioned lotion parties earlier. You might present your fragrance oils or essential oils in our tester vials. Look for our 1/4 oz short vials available in both clear and amber and the glass rods that fit them. The rod is attached to the lid for dipping and sniffing. This works well for businesses who also sell oils. If you glue these bottles to a board you can offer them to smell instead of your salable stock, and your testers stay put. Offer your guests several different scents to choose from, ranging from floral to spice to citrus to woody, etc. Many people may be hesitant to buy something new for any number of reasons. A general lack of knowledge will sometimes make a person shy away, too embarrassed to ask. Use this opportunity as a teaching tool, sharing the attributes of both the lotions, oils, essences and herbs. We have lots of how-to-books to make it easy.
